Meet the PYC Community
There's More Than One Way to Be Part of PYC
Your relationship with PYC doesn't have to end when class does.
Our community is built by the people who practice, teach, assist, lead, learn and contribute inside our studios every day.
Whether you want to deepen your practice, become a yoga teacher, join an Energy Exchange team or eventually open a studio of your own, there are many ways to become more involved.

Energy Exchange at PYC Practice. Contribute. Connect.
The PYC Energy Exchange program gives members of our community an opportunity to exchange their time and energy for yoga.
Energy Exchange team members help support the day-to-day experience at participating PYC studios while becoming an integral part of the studio community.
In exchange for completing one scheduled shift each week, Energy Exchange members receive unlimited yoga, subject to the terms of their participating studio.
What does an Energy Exchange member do?
Energy Exchange responsibilities can vary by studio, but team members help create the clean, welcoming and organized environment our community experiences when they walk through the doors.
More than anything, we're looking for people who want to contribute.
Bring your energy. Bring your personality.
And definitely bring your smile.
Who can apply for PYC Energy Exchange?
Energy Exchange is a great fit for people who:
- Love practicing at PYC and want to become more involved in the community
- Can commit to a regular weekly shift
- Enjoy connecting with people and contributing to a team
- Want the opportunity to practice yoga more consistently
No yoga teaching experience is required.

Become a PYC Assistant.
Deepen Your Practice. Support Someone Else's.
Assisting is another way to experience the practice and contribute to the PYC community.
PYC Assistants support students during class through intentional, trained hands-on assists designed to bring greater awareness and connection to the practice.
Becoming a PYC Assistant begins with completing the PYC Assisting Intensive Training Module. You do not need to be a graduate of the PYC 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training program to participate.
Whether you're interested in assisting regularly or simply want to deepen your understanding of yoga, movement and connection, the training offers another way to explore your practice.

Become a PYC Yoga Teacher Take Your Practice Further
Maybe you want to teach.
Maybe you want to deepen your understanding of yoga.
Or maybe you're curious about what could happen if you stepped outside your comfort zone.
The PYC 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is designed to immerse you in the practice, principles and leadership behind Power Yoga while giving you the foundation to grow as a yoga teacher.
PYC teachers complete our 200-Hour Teacher Training pathway before joining the PYC teaching community.
But teacher training isn't only about learning to lead a yoga class.
It's an opportunity to explore how you communicate, how you lead and how you show up for yourself and the people around you.
Community Outreach Be of Service
Empowering communities into action means taking the practice beyond our studio walls.
PYC studios support local organizations, initiatives and causes that matter to the communities they serve.
Through community partnerships, Karma Classes, fundraising, outreach and other initiatives, we look for opportunities to use movement and community to make a meaningful contribution.
Each PYC studio has its own relationships with local organizations and causes, allowing our communities to support the people and initiatives closest to home.
Have a cause or organization you think your local PYC community should know about?
We'd love to hear from you.
Open a Power Yoga Studio Build a Community of Your Own
What if PYC doesn't exist in your community yet?
Maybe you're the person who changes that.
We're looking for passionate entrepreneurs and community builders who believe in the power of yoga, leadership and connection to help bring the PYC experience to new communities.
Through Power Yoga Collective, we're growing beyond our existing Power Yoga Canada + Power Yoga Collective network and creating opportunities to bring the PYC experience to communities across Canada and the United States.
If you love the PYC culture and have dreamed about building something meaningful in your community, we'd love to hear from you.
